The other part of arranging a baby shower that is difficult is deciding when the shower is to happen. My niece wanted to wait until after the little one arrived so that the individuals attending the shower could see the new arrival. This was all well and good, except that some of the products on her gift register were for stuff that are needed as soon as the little one arrives home. My niece mentioned that one of her co-staff members was also throwing a baby shower party for her. I got the name of the co-worker so that we could coordinate the 2 baby showers to best fit with my niece's requests.
When I spoke with the co-worker planning a baby shower party I found out that she was planning on having the shower the very last day my niece was scheduled to work before the first step of her maternity leave. I told that I was planning to have a shower after the birth of the baby. We determined that we would tell the guests this so they could pick out their items accordingly. I would be including relatives and she would include co-employees, so people would not be invited to two showers.
The who and when is finished now comes the theme. There are a lot of good themes but decorations and coordinating everything can get costly. That is when a friend told me about wholesale favors. Little did I know that wholesale favors were made available to the general public and that there was such a range of these wholesale favors. That resource alone saved the party and my budget. It left a good deal of money for the cake and other essentials.
