Iscar Adds Their Most Recent Creations To A Extended Line Of Outstanding Hole Generating Solutions
Iscar recently released numerous different drilling innovations to meet their customers needs. These recent products are Sumocham Drill, DR-DH and Deep Drills. Drawing off of their skill Iscar has come up with new and innovative ways to boost productivity for the customer. Here is a little bit about these new products, and how they will serve the end user of these drills.
SUMOCHAM Drills
ISCAR's new SUMOCHAM drill family is an advanced progression of the exceptionally successful CHAMDRILL and CHAMDRILLJET drill families. The drill features twisted coolant nozzles with indexable drilling heads which are available in different head configurations for a range of material groups. SUMOCHAM drills can be used on milling centers or lathes.
SUMOCHAM features four different standard drill head geometries, designed for unmatched performance and high dependability. The drill head is manufactured with a sharp cutting edge and polished flutes. SUMOCHAM drilling heads are obtainable in the diameter range of 8 to 25.9 mm. The drill head has ground flutes for smooth, continuous chip flow and a ground gash for enhanced penetration.
The drill shank design is according to DIN 9766 standard, with available drilling depth to diameter ratios of 1.5XD, 3xD, 5XD and 8xD. All drill bodies showcase coolant through holes. The accurate cylinder added to the clamping portion improves durability and decreases internal stresses. The rotation stopper planes are precision ground, to increase the control on the drilling head position and support, increasing tool performance and life. ISCAR's innovative SUMOCHAM drill line will offer longer tool life and increased productivity.
DR-DH Deep Drills
DR-DH drills can obtain drilling depth-to-diameter ratio of 7XD and up. Constructed to be used on standard horizontal milling centers, turning, and multi-task machines. Use of additional machine and setup can be avoided. They will be offered as semi-standard item in a diameter range of 25.4 to 69.5 mm (1.00 - 2.73").
Two versions will be available:
A Single Flute DR-DH-31.65-0350NC-2FS is a very stiff tool that has a patented chip gullet design. It was developed for easily cut materials such as cast iron and low alloyed steel.
A Double Flute DR-DH-31.65-0350NC-2FD has a double chip gullet for improved chip flow. It was engineered for drilling gummy materials such as non-alloyed steel and high temperature alloys.
ISCAR DEEP HOLE DRILLS
With ISCAR's brand new solid carbide deep hole drills, you can easily drill up to 22 times diameter and reach bottom10% faster than with other solid carbide drills - and six times faster than a HSS drill. This ability can speed up several high-volume operations. The deep-hole drilling station no longer has to slow down a transfer line or stop it fully because a drill breaks.
Different target applications include deep holes for automotive, hydraulic blocks and die & mold work. A aggregate of features aid the twist drills to cut faster, straighter, deeper, last longer and expel chips more readily. A unique high-strength core creates a more long lasting drill point and allows for deeper flutes, enlarging the exit path for chips.
The drill tip itself have a 140 positive-point, four-margin design to preserve the edge, diminish thrust forces and help centering and tracking. A post-coat polishing step on the flutes, margins and cutting edges decreases friction and torque that can readily snap a drill.
The latest drills are available in standard diameters ranging from 5 to 10 mm, in 20 and 22 length to diameter ratios. Special sizes are offered on request. All are made of IC908, a 10% cobalt submicron carbide grade, and comes with a TiAlN PVD coating, and can be refurbished.
These are just some of the latest innovations coming from Iscar.
Iscar Recently Made Public Numerous Brand New Lines To Extend Their Family Of Milling Cutters Iscar recently released a new family of High Speed Milling adjustable endmills and facemills that will improve milling of aluminum, non-metallics, cast iron and hardened steel. This should prove especially useful in the automotive and aerospace industries.
Iscar Releases A Revolutionary Family Of Slitting Cutters Using Tang-Grip Technology And The Sturdiness Of Sumo Tec Grades Iscar now offers a family of high-performance slitting tools that combine the convenience and security of Tang-Grip clamping with the added durability of the new Sumo Tec insert grades. The concept, already proven successful in Tang-Grip parting tools, has now been extended to slitting cutters.
Many Improvements Have Broadened Iscar's Line Of Indexable Endmills For Expanded Productivity Helido-Upfeed 04 Two years ago Iscar introduced the extremely efficient H600 indexable endmill line, based on conceptually new Helido-Upfeed double sided inserts with 6 cutting edges. The first insert launched was the H600 WXCU 0806..., which was designed for milling cutters in the diameter range of 50 to 125 mm.
The Newest In Carbide Endmill Architectures In A Extended And Effective Family From Iscar Manufacturers and die & mold shops can eliminate chatter problems in many milling operations with Iscar's new Chatterfree endmills. The cutters' variable-pitch flute pattern eliminates harmonic vibration, the main source of chatter. This enables faster cutting and finer finish in rough or finish slotting, shoulder milling and cavity milling.
Push Pull Testing For Highway Industry With Calibrated Measuring Instruments. Stress Load Testing Methods For On Site Proof To Testing Requirements. Push Pull Testing for the Railway industry for proof of reliable anchor fixings. Calibrated push pull force gauges are used for stress load testing along with tensile strength pull testing procedures. Proof of load testing undertaken, measured, recorded in a reliable and standard way to BS5080 Part 1 standards.
A Handful Of Developments In Carbide Inserts Provided By Iscar Over The Last Decade Iscar is announcing a brand new unique milling system that includes tangential, clamped, butterfly-shaped LNKX carbide inserts. The butterfly-shaped insert has meaningful advantages compared to the current flat, square shapes. The new geometry has more cutting edges, positive rake face, decreased cutting forces resulting in better performance.
Commercial Water Heater- Which Is Perfect For Your Needs If you are in the market for a commercial water heater then consider what the needed application is and your overall cost to determine which is best for you. Since there are so many to choose from you may have to do some calculating in order to match the need.
